Jared's 10th Birthday Party ...

I am terribly sad.  In all the "busy-ness" of Jared's party, I forgot to get pictures of him with his friends this year ... So sorry Jared :(((  Despite my lack of picture taking, he had a wonderful time.  They played capture the flag and dodge ball out in the rain.  And they LOVED getting out in the wet grass in their bare feet :))

Amidst the hustle and bustle however, I was able to get a few pictures of Jordan and Jacob ...

Jacob, Jordan, and Jade ....

Loved the COLORS in this one!

Beddy-Bye time after a long day :)))

Jacob ~ 10 weeks old

Two-and-a-half months old.  Can you believe it?  Time is just whipping by ... Seems like he's getting a chin a week :))

He looks like a "tubba" from this perspective ... thought it was soooo cute!

Just love those little feet!

Matthew and Jacob

Cousin Matthew had a BIG day Saturday ... going to the Orange and White game, getting autographs from some of the football players ... and best of all, getting to visit his cousin Jacob :))

Jacob ~ Nine Weeks Old

So, we took Jacob to the doctor last Friday to get his first set of immunizations :((( He was fussy for a couple of days, but made it through okay.  He weighed a wopping 12 pounds 14 ounces at 8 weeks... (I'm so sure he's 13 pounds by today!!!) ... He's such a little cutie.  A "chubba" as LaDonna calls it :)))  The saying goes that you decrease picture taking as you have more children ... with the digital technology, I believe I have increased picture taking with each of mine.  It's so fun to take pics of this little guy each week.  I just don't want to miss a moment and want to remember everything!!!

I was looking at Jacob this past week as I was holding him, and asking the Lord what it looks like to love HIM more as I love Jacob.  What does it look like to want HIM to HOLD ME every day, to listen to HIM, and be the first thing on my mind?  I immediately sensed His response as I looked down at Jacob ...  "Abide in Me as this little one abides in you."  I was thinking about the complete and utter dependence Jacob has on me, which is exactly the way God wants us to be with HIM.  Jacob doesn't question anything.  He just trusts that I will take care of him.  Do we really trust that God will take care of us???  That He is for our Good?  I want my trust to be more like that with the Lord.  I pray the Lord will work HIS Spirit in us who know HIM ... to love HIM more and more with a complete dependence upon HIM.

Happy Easter!!!

We went to the Fonacea's for Easter this year and had a wonderful time!  Jacob actually went to church for the first time Easter morning and then we all went to the Fonacea's afterwards for a wonderful feast.  Honestly, by the end of the day, the poor little fella didn't know if he was coming or going; he was so very tired!!!

Someone shot this picture of Mommy and Jacob ...

Our family hopes you had a blessed Easter as well!

Jacob's first field trip ...

On Thursday, April 1st, we went to Mayfield Dairy to see how the milk is produced.  Then we went to Sweetwater Valley Farms, which was our favorite of the two field trips.  No, this is not April Fool's, we really did go!!!

Okay, so this is one of those REALLY unfair things about being a baby ... Mommy can CUT herself out of the picture but show the WORLD Jacob in a hair net.  At Mayfield, everyone had to wear a hair net in order to walk through the plant.  So, needless to say, Mommy was in one too, but she didn't want to scare everyone off from ever looking at the blog again :)))

Next was Sweetwater Valley Farms.  If you ever get a chance to go there, you should!! It was an awesome tour to see what they do to milk the cows, what they feed them, and how they take care of them.  They also make cheese there, but they only do that during certain times of the week.

These were the calves, each in their own "cribs" ... they were soooo cute!!!

Here was a new momma cleaning her first baby.  The "boss" said that's actually rare and she's a good one :))

Okay, so this is in OUR back yard.  Every once in a while we get a wandering cow from the farm behind us.  We haven't mowed our grass yet this season so it's really lush, green, and tall.  I think this one decided the grass really IS greener on the other side!!!
